About this tour
Join us as we tour the Atherton Tablelands rainforests, craters and waterfalls, swim in hot springs pools before heading west into open savannah country to tour the Undarra Lava Tubes and walk the rim of an extinct volcanic crater.
That evening enjoy sour dough wood fired pizza at Pinnarendi Station Stay. Relax and enjoy country hospitality before camping under the stars in a deluxe dome swag on a comfy camp stretcher. Wake up to a wholesome home cooked breakfast before we take the back roads and leave the bitumen behind.
We travel through cattle stations to the historic Cashmere crossing on the Herbert River where we stop to soak up the history. A litte further and you are greeted with spectacular views and photographic opportunities of the Herbert River Gorge and a glimpse of Blencoe Falls. A short walk reveals the stunning falls with uninterrupted views from the viewing platform. Lunch beside the beautiful Blencoe Creek before travelling through savannah, open eucalyptus forests and pockets of rainforest to camp the night at the Rangers Hut. Relax infront of the fireplace and enjoy a hardy meal. After breakfast walk Society Flats short loop track. Marvel at the Rose Gums, Kauri Pines, Gadagi Gums and other towering trees while you walk the loop track.
We then travel down the rugged but stunning World Heritage listed rainforest lined Kirrama Range road built in the 1930’s by pick and shovel with stone pitching embankments still visible. We stop at Tucker’s Lookout and view the Coastal Islands and beautiful Kennedy Valley below before returning to the coastal lowlands to enjoy the famous Spa Pool, Attie Creek falls and Cardwell Lookout. Lunch in Cardwell before returning to Cairns with a stop at Josephine Falls.

Due to limited space for luggage we ask you to please restrict your luggage and only bring essential items for your tour.
Couples are asked to share luggage.
A small carry on sized bag is suggested for individual travellers.
A medium sized bag is suggested for couples.
