About this tour
This is a great way to see the Chillagoe limestone caves and smelter ruins.
Enjoy two cave tours guided by National Park Rangers with extensive knowledge of the formation and structure of the caves.
Tour the old smelter site and view the old brick stacks from the elevated site while you learn about the history of the site, from the story boards along the path.
Be amazed as the sight of balancing rock comes into view as you walk along the short circular track that leads to it.
The tour returns via the histroric towns of Irvinebank and Herberton. Also see where pioneer towns once stood and the relics left behind.
As a swag tour you can sleep in our comfortable dome swags while still enjoying full amenities or pay a little extra to stay in airconditioned accomodation.
Caves tours, park fees and camping fees are included in the price of the tour.
To keep this tour affordable we do not include meals so you only pay for what you actually eat.
