About this tour
Join us as we tour the Atherton Tablelands rainforests, craters and waterfalls, before heading west into open savannah country to enjoy sour dough wood fired pizza at Pinnarendi Station Stay. Relax and enjoy country hospitality before camping under the stars in a double deluxe dome swag. Wake up to a wholesome home cooked breakfast before we take the back roads and leave the bitumen behind.
We travel through cattle stations to the historic Cashmere crossing on the Herbert River where we stop to soak up the history. After a half hour drive you are greeted with spectacular views and photographic opportunities of the Herbert River Gorge and a glimpse of Blencoe Falls. A short walk reveals the stunning falls with uninterrupted views from the viewing platform. Lunch beside the beautiful Blencoe Creek before travelling through savannah, open eucalyptus forests and pockets of rainforest to the Society Flats short loop walk. Marvel at the Rose Gums, Kauri Pines, Gadagi Gums and other towering trees while you walk the loop track.
We then travel down the rugged but stunning World Heritage listed rainforest lined Kirrama Range road built in the 1930’s by pick and shovel with stone pitching embankments still visible. We stop at Tucker’s Lookout and view the Coastal Islands and beautiful Kennedy Valley below before returning to the coastal lowlands.

What to bring for day use in a soft day bag:
Insect repellent.Water or non alcoholic drinks.Swimming wear, towel and dry clothes.
Please bring your own pillow.
Luggage.
Due to limited space for luggage we ask you to please restrict your luggage and only bring essential items for your tour.
Couples are asked to share luggage.
A small carry on sized bag is suggested for individual travellers.
A medium sized bag is suggested for couples.
Please advise if you have food allergies or special dietary needs so we can advise food providers.Lunch on Day 1 is not included but can be bought at Ravenshoe township.
