About this tour
Blencoe Falls Day tour leaves from Mission Beach, Tully, and pick up can be arranged for Cardwell.
We leave the bitumen at the Kennedy Valley and travel up the stunning rainforest lined Kirrima Range road built in the 1930's by pick and shovel with examples of stone pitched embankments along the way. Stop at Tuckers Look and view across the beautiful Kennedy Valley Coastal Islands and Kennedy Valley. Travel through Rainforest, Eucalypts, and Savannah country before arriving at Blencoe Ck.
Morning tea at Blencoe Creek before driving to the Herbert Gorge lookout and a short walk to view one of Australia most magnificient falls, Blencoe Falls with uninterupted views from the viewing platform before heading back for lunch in the shade at the creek.
On the return trip we stop at the Society Flats rainforest walk where you will marvel at the massive Kauri Pines, Rose Gums, Cadagi Gums and other towering trees. We stop at another two lookouts on the way down for more photo opportuniies.
